The Grand Canyon is 227 miles long, one mile deep, with an average width of 10 miles.

In 2012, there were more than 4.5 million visitors to the park.  The 3 summer months were the busiest with 563,375 visitors in June 2014, 621,953 visitors in July 2014, and 671,027 visitors in August 2014.
